The Oak & Folk is the brainchild of two former college roommates who attended rival schools. Amazingly, they are still friends. They often discuss random topics (rarely, but occasionally arguing) and draw purposeful, yet meaningless conclusions. One of them is known for abusing the phrase “it’s worth noting …” early on in their friendship. Rarely was it really worth it.

Glossary
TIDNTKIL: All throughout my life I’ve encountered really cool things, foods, ideas, or activities that are totally ridiculous in some way or another. In an effort to minimize the ridiculous in my life, I dub these “Things I Don’t Need to Know I Like” (or TIDNTKIL for short) and try with all my might to avoid introducing myself to them.
